Save your ears from pressurisation!

This is by far my best travel tip, my most recommended product! It doesn’t matter if you travel first class, business class or cattle class, if your ears suffer during the pressurisation or depressurisation of the aircraft cabin, this is for you!

I always dreaded ear-popping discomfort on flights until I discovered these Alpine Fly Fit earplugs. They featured a small pressure regulator that gently depressurises your ears as the plane climbs and descends (I never expected such a tiny valve to make that much difference to be honest).

They also cut out enough ambient noise to help me relax or nap, yet still let me catch announcements or calls without fumbling. So, yes, you can still hear with them in.

They are made from a hypoallergenic material that moulded to your ear canal, so they stay comfortable after hours in the air (even with a neck pillow jammed behind you). In short, those little pressure regulators took away the only issue that troubled me with flying.

The only problem I had with them was when I first tried them – I managed to push one so deep into my ear and couldn’t get it out! After some facial contortions, it worked its way back out enough to grab it but just be careful you don’t push them to far in!

I also learned to gently pop them out once at altitude or once landed but you can keep them in to dull the sound of the plane if you want.

All in all, this is my absolute no brainer for flying anywhere.
